I'm surprised the world didn't implode

Hey all.

So normally for something like this, it just gets mentioned on the side under Epic Fail of the Day, but this was so monumental and so EPIC, it deserved its own post.

So basically, Saturaday night after the play, Karlene, Korky, Ania and I went to East Side Marios for the cast party. But all that us four could afford was one meal and water, but it worked nicely. Except for the epic fail part.

We all know Karlene, and we all know that when she talks about something with enthusiasm, she likes to use her hands to speak. And thus a glass of water was spilt all over the table and onto me.

So if this isn't enough of a fail, less than a half hour later, Ania proceeds to pose for a picture and spills a glass of water all over the table and all over Korky.

This is the ultimate example of an Epic fail that I have ever personally seen.

And thus, as you can no doubt assume, this fail deserves its own post.

30 Random things from Niagara Falls conference

Hey all. So as you may have already heard, some interesting things happened whilst your SAC was visiting that natural wonder. So I thought I'd post a "30 things" list like I did for when I went to Ottawa. NOTE: Because I value my life, and I'm sure you do too, I cannot post some of the better things.

THE LIST.

1. Ian actually smiling. Enough Said.
2. Learning how to crawl out of a straight jacket. I wrote down the steps. See Below
3. Eating sushi, some of which looked questionable.
4. Then watching Becca, Andi and Ian dive into their Second squid. I ate a piece of the second one. It was better than the questionable stuff in my plate.
5. Walking from table to table of exhibitors and seeing that Me to We was selling t-shirts. Then getting a little too excited when I noticed they were selling the one I really wanted.
6. Singing and dancing to "Hey Baby," "Sweet Caroline," and "Walking on Sunshine"
7. Meeting a black motivational speaker that was actually like the "black person stereotype"
8. Craig Kielburger talking. Enough said. Actually, now that I think of it, just breathing and still running Free the Children and Me to We would be enough for me.
9. Falling asleep during the War Child speaker.
10. Ordering pizza to the hotel room with Ian, Jeff and Kim.
11. The fact that the delivery pizza guy looked like Jesus, except still living with his mum and playing too many video games.
12. Singing Girl Guide songs with Jennifer on the way back.
13. Eating those "Dippin' Dots" things for the first time. It really is the ice cream of the future.
14. Offering to write on the chart paper for a presenter who was presenting on memorization, then getting chided by him for writing too much stuff down instead of just remembering it.
15. Skipping along the falls walkway and taking pictures of it at midnight with Kim and Jenn, and singing and generally acting like a six year old. What? It was late. I was tired. Did I want to sleep? No.
16. FREE STUFF!
17. Talking about defibrillators with one of the exhibitors and how much school boards around us suck.
18. Taking the elevator, realizing it doesn't go up to the 22nd floor, and having to transfer. Transfer elevators.
19. NO PURPLE! Enough said.
20. High fives are banned, so we'll do ELBOWS!
21. Not being able to text in some places because the American towers were interfering.
22. Getting a button that said "Get a life" on it.
23. Aquiring an arcade token with Wolverine's face on it.
24. Watching a media presentation by much music, and laughing when a whole bunch of girls started to scream when new moon clips were being played.
25. Being really tempted to jump up and scream all on my lonesome when Spock, the New Captain Kirk, or Star Trek clips in general were played.
26. When the last Keynote speaker got some kid to get up on stage and call his mom on speakerphone.
27. Just shaking my head when looking at one of the girls' notes for the Free the Children presentation, and seeing the sides covered with "I Love Kielburger."
28. Still having no idea what I want to do to change the world.
29. Buying socks that say LEAD on the sides.
30. Best quotes:

"Reality is what we believe it to be"
"We are not born questioning our greatness"
"Where is the love?"
"Anyone can start a marathon. Only few can finish."
"People change people"
"You can't fly like an eagle if you hang around turkeys"
"Chase the dream, not the competition"
"If you really want something crazy enough, you'll do anything to make it work."
"Get paid to breathe"
"Don't stop just because people tell you it's impossible. The straight jacket was designed to be inescapable. Look what I just showed you how to do!"
"This is the power of We"
"Who's going to change the world? We are."
"We have the influence"
"Sometimes it's good to wear your heart on your sleeve."

And because I promised.

How to escape from a straight jacket
By: Scott Hammell, escape artist.

1. Dislocate both your shoulders.
2. Get your right hand on your left elbow.
3. Then get your right hand on your left shoulder.
4. Crawl your head under your right arm.
5. Now with loose hands, undo the croch strap.
6. Peel jacket up and over your head.
7. YOU HAVE ESCAPED.

Enjoy guys!

NaNo has Begun!!!

Hey all.

So... how was your guys' halloweens? I was stuck here... my mum had to drive my sis to Ingersoll, and I wasn't allowed to leave... Plus I wasn't feeling so great... I think I have the flu already.

Anyways, in case you haven't noticed yet, it's November the 1st. And that means...

NaNoWriMo HAS BEGUN!!!!! Welcome to insanity all who decided to join me. Anyways... I still don't really know what I'm going to write about, which probably isn't the greatest idea. I need to get out 1, 667 words today. I need a topic.

Plus um... I found out TODAY that throughout the month of November, our main floor is pretty much off limits because the kitchen is getting ripped out over the entire month...

We're living off of canned food and eggs the next month...

SOMEONE PLEASE... I am begging you... GET ME OUT OF THE HOUSE!!!!

I'm not sure how I'm gonna write under those conditions, but we'll see. I hope the renovators will enjoy my Beowulf reading out loud. I like reading poetry outloud. I do it wiht Shakespeare too... I think my parents might know Othello inside out and backwards now... haha.

OH! and to all my lovely Dream Catcher followers... If I do happen to get ahead, I may write the Trevor death chapter. But I have to get ahead first... Which means I need an idea...

Ideas guys???

Read on, write on, ladies and gentlemen.

I need to know ASAP

Hey all.

So things/dates/times are rushing up fast and I need to know a few ASAP things from you guys.

Halloween for Hunger
The first is something I haven't even told you about yet, but still need to know ASAP if you want to come. After the FAITH conference, Alex mentioned wanting to do the Halloween for Hunger campaign, and I was like TOTALLY!!!!

So what Halloween for Hunger is is where, when you go out trick or treating, you collect cans instead of candy, and then donate the cans to a local food bank. Because we didn't plan this exremely in advance, we might not get cans from everyone, but that's ok. Oh and there's still the chance you might still get candy yourself. ;)

Now that that's clear, I would like to know who wants to come with us. The more hands we have, the easier it will be. Currently we have me, Jenn, Alex, and possibly Kayla and Jacquie (you don't know these people... well, Jenn does... don't worry! They're Guiding peoples so they're nice. XD) So... do you want to come help?

We haven't decided who's house/neighbourhood we're going to nail yet, but I think it's between my house and Jenn's... possibly Alex's (but she's close to Jenn). OH! and we're going to need a wagon or something to carry/pull the food. Personally, I think we should do my neighbourhood because I have lots of Old peoples near me and they are more inclined to give us food. haha.

JENN AND/OR ALEX: We need to decide who's house we're starting at and when, Kayla needs to know soon so she can tell Jacquie.

NaNoWriMo
So the other thing I need to know ASAP is who wants to do NaNoWriMo with me? I've decided that I'm going to sign up, even if I don't make the 50, 000 words. I plan on signing up either tomorrow or Wednesday after school. I know Jenn and Karlene said they'd do it with me... Anyone else want in? The reason I ask ASAP is because we need to sign up before Friday.

I think that's all I needed to know for now... I'll post something else if I remember... Check up regularly, especially those of you I don't see daily. BE IN THE KNOW! XD Like I have much facinating to say most days. But still, things like this may show up!

How many wonders can one Amy hold?

But who cares? No loud deal. I speaking more

I wanna be where the cabins are
I wanna see, wanna see `em flourishing
walkin` around on those
Whaddya call `em? Oh, feet

predicting your fins, you don`t get too far
Legs are required for forgetting, dancin`

What would I pay to spend a day
Warm on the sand?

Betcha on England they understand
Bet they don`t reprimand their crustasians
Bright young women, sick of discovering
Ready to stand

Ask `em sharp questions and get some answers

I CAN CHANGE THE WORLD

Hey all.

So today's been pretty crazy (*cough* two fire alarms *cough*) and rather inspirational (*cough* I got a picture with Craig whilst we were running for our lives from fire *cough*). But now I'm onto yet another thing (*cough* boring awards night *cough*) and when I get back I have to finish all my homework that I missed over the last two days. Should be fun, eh?

Naw, so this is just an update to tell y'all how awesome my day was, and I'll post some thing about the Japanese people, and about the FAITH "conference" thingy if I get a chance after my homework. I've got some awesome ideas I think you guys would like to get in on. And then there's Toria's idea which she needs some people for, and the big one I want to talk about is Alex's idea cause we'd have to plan quick since it has to do with Halloween.

Plus I'll post pictures of the t-shirt and the hoodie I want now. :P

Anyways all for now ladies and gentlemen. Or should I really just say Kyle... XD
OH! that reminds me... I'm starting on the side of this a tab called "Epic Fail of the Day" and I will post the name of whoever I saw that day that failed epically. As you probably guessed, Kyle's name is going there today. haha.

But really going now!
